Socios : Universal access to Social Media Platforms (2010-2013)

The project (achronym - SOCIOS) has been funded by the European Union to develop an open-source framework for universal access to Social Media Platforms, whose goal is to simplify the development of business applications that exploit the User Created Content and the Social Graph. Specifically, Socios will provide: 
  • a user-friendly framework to build services within and across Social Networks, 
  • support for SLAs and QoS; 
  • tools for UCC and social graph management; 
  • business model analysis to provide incentives for the development of such tools. 
The other partner organizations are: Google, IBM, Deutsche Welle, ICCS, Stefi Productions SA, Athens Technology Center SA, University Of Haifa, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.



Nepomuk : Social Semantic Desktop (2006-2008)

The project (achronym - NEPOMUK) was funded by the European Union to develop an open-source Social Semantic Desktop platform - a comprehensive solution for extending the personal desktop into a collaboration environment which supports both the personal information management and the sharing and exchange across social and organizational relations.

Wiki Model : A generic model of wiki syntax together with several implemented parsers.

We founded a successful open-source project with a participation of several major companies. This project contains a set of wiki-related libraries, such as parsers for various wiki syntaxes, and common wiki model (event- and object-based).
